This Volkswagen 1500 Variant, an early example from the 2nd model year of the model “Type 36” and the progenitor of all Volkswagen estate cars, is in its unrestored, outstandingly preserved original condition. The car was delivered in July 1963 as the first Variant in Austria to the VW main dealer Stua & Höpfl in Vienna and remained in Austria until 1999. In the past years the Variant was part of a German collection and served the Automuseum Stiftung Volkswagenwerk occasionally as a presentation object at anniversaries and classic car shows. Mostly original paint. Matching number engine. Interior parts such as rubber mats, floor coverings, headliner, seats as well as sisal mats and dashboard are original and show an authentic patina. The Blaupunkt radio “Köln” as well as the rare original radio console and a contemporary antenna have been retrofitted.

A rare opportunity to acquire a vehicle of this model, of which certainly very few have survived undamaged.
